EDITORIAL POLICY


JOURNAL DESCRIPTION

Journal of Islamic Monetary Economics and Finance (JIMF) is a peer-reviewed journal published twice a year (January, July) by Center for Central Finance Reserch and Education, Bank Indonesia. JIMF publishes important research contributions to a wide range of Islamic economics, monetary, and finance including work along empirical, methodological and theoritical lines. The topics covers but not limited to the followings: microeconomics; finance; financial markets; macroeconomics; economic growth and development; international trade; monetary policy; money demand and money supply behaviour.
The primary criterion for publication in JIMF is the significance of the contribution an article makes to the literature in Islamic economics, monetary and finance i.e., the significance of the contribution and on the rigor of analysis and presentation of the paper. The acceptance decision is made based upon an independent review process that provides critically constructive and prompt evaluations of submitted manuscripts.

AUDIENCE

The primary, but not exclusive, audiences are academicians, postgraduate students, researchers, and others interested people in Islamic economics, monetary and finance.

POLICY ON DATA AVAILABILITY

The objective of Journal of Islamic Monetary Economics and Finance is to provide the widest possible dissemination of knowledge based on systematic scholarly inquiries into business as a field of professional research and educational activity. As part of this process, authors are encouraged to make their data available for use by others in extending or replicating the results reported in their articles. Authors of articles which report data dependent results should footnote the status of the data availability and, when pertinent, this should be accompanied by information on how the data may be obtained.

REPRODUCTION POLICY

An objective of Journal of Islamic Monetary Economics and Finance is to promote the wide dissemination of the results of systematic scholarly inquiries into the broad field of economics research.
Except where otherwise noted in articles, the copyright of articles in the journal has been transferred to the Journal of Islamic Monetary Economics and Finance. Where the author(s) has (have) not transferred the copyright to the Journal of Islamic Monetary Economics and Finance, the applicant must seek a permission to reproduce (for all purpose) directly from the author(s).

AUTHOR FEE

Journal of Islamic Monetary Economics and Finance will not charge anything to the author for submission fee or publication fee.

SUBMISSION POLICY

The Author should submit the manuscript in word format to JIMF. Editorial Office by online submission http://www.journalbankindonesia.org or by email to: journal.JIMF@gmail.com. All manuscripts must be prepared according to Journal of Islamic Monetary Economics and Finance guidelines.
Upon the submission of the manuscripts, author(s) will receive the confirmation of the submission along with some submission declaration forms that need to be filled and signed before Editors can process the manuscript.

PEER REVIEW PROCESS and EDITORIAL DECISION

All submitted manuscripts are read by the editorial staff. Those manuscripts evaluated by editors to be inappropriate to journal criteria are rejected promptly without external review. Manuscripts evaluated to be of potential interest to our readership are sent to double blind reviewers. The editors then make a decision based on the reviewer’s recommendation from among several possibilities: rejected, require major revision, need minor revision, or accepted.
The Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Islamic Monetary Economics and Finance has the right to decide which manuscripts submitted to the journal should be published.
